Welcome to The Chip Mint (thechipmint.com). By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
1. Description of Service
The Chip Mint is a digital ledger platform designed to gamify the exchange of value and assets. It allows users to create custom economies, mint virtual chips, and manage transactions within a closed group via a centralized client-server model.
2. Nature of Virtual Assets (Non-Monetary Disclosure)
No Real Value: The "Chips" or "Tokens" generated within the platform are strictly internal database entries for entertainment, educational, or scorekeeping purposes.
Not Cryptocurrency: These assets are not cryptocurrencies, do not exist on a public blockchain, and cannot be traded on external exchanges.
No Monetary Claim: The Chip Mint is not a bank or payment processor. Tokens hold no intrinsic fiat currency value and cannot be redeemed for real money through the platform.
3. User Roles and Authority
The Banker (Game Creator): The Banker is the sole authority of a game session. They are responsible for initializing the session, defining currency metadata, and managing the initial supply.
The Player: Players participate by holding a wallet and trading peer-to-peer (P2P), subject to server validation.
Banker Control: Users acknowledge that the Banker has absolute control over the game session. This includes the power to mint more chips, and freeze assets.
4. Authentication and Privacy
Google Sign-In: To ensure security, we use OAuth 2.0 (Google Account) for authentication. The Chip Mint does not store user passwords.
Identification: Users are identified by a Unique Identifier (Key) for routing transactions.
Data Access: While the Banker manages the game economy, they do not have access to players' private credentials.
5. Open API and Third-Party Applications
The platform provides an Open API allowing developers to build external applications (e.g., games or management tools) on top of the ledger. The Chip Mint is not responsible for the functionality or content of third-party applications connected via the API.
6. Limitation of Liability and Risks
Central Authority Risk: The platform is not responsible for the actions of a Banker, including the sudden closure of a game or the freezing of virtual assets.
Data Deletion: When a game session is closed by a Banker, all associated data is permanently deleted.
Off-Platform Agreements: The Chip Mint is not liable for any "investments" or off-platform agreements made between players or Bankers.
7. Data Integrity
While the system maintains an immutable history of movements for transparency within a session, the platform operates on a centralized model where the server acts as the ultimate validator.
